Innovative AvanTech YOU drawer system sets new standards in drawers with its purist design and elegant appearance. In combination with the Cadro frame system, this produces countless options. AvanTech YOU drawers are easy to fit on the Cadro drawer profile. A small groove in the profile makes sure that the Actro YOU runner is mounted for an exact fit. The runner's cabinet body rail is completely hidden from view once the matching cover profiles are in place. This means it is even possible to produce open shelf unit designs with drawer elements for a visually appealing look with practical functionality.   • How can the panel material be fixed within a frame, e.g. for one side?

    There are various ways of attaching the panel material: for example, the panel can be screwed on, slot mounted or fastened with ball catches or cam connectors.

    No, the pivot hinge is currently only available in a simple version without soft closing. Either the Cadro glass door lock or a simple magnetic catch can be used to keep the door closed.

  • Can hinges for side hung doors or sliding door systems be fitted in the Cadro frame system too?

    Yes, the Cadro frame system can be combined with side-hung doors by using the Sensys hinge. Sliding doors aren't a problem either in conjunction with Hettich's SlideLine M or SlideLine 66 sliding door systems. You'll find further details in our (online) catalogue.

  • Can the Actro YOU drawer runner be concealed or is it left visible?

    There's a matching cover profile that simply clips onto the drawer profile and conceals the cabinet body runner rail.

  • Does drawer profile 9298806/9298807 come pre-drilled?

    No, to prevent waste, this profile is not pre-drilled at the factory. But the Cadro drawer profile has a visible bead that serves as a guide for positioning the height of the mounting drill hole.

  • How long must the distance be to the end of the profile for the drill hole that secures the node?

    The hole for securing the node must be drilled at a distance of 20.5 m from the end of the profile.

  • Can I get the M5 grub screw for securing the nodes in two surface finishes? And can I also get matching colour caps?

    Yes, the Cadro range includes matching grub screws and cover caps, which can be used as an option, each in the two standard surface finishes of black or silver.

  • I'd like to construct a shelf unit with an external measurement of 600 mm. What size do I have to cut the profile to? Is there any formula?

    With a chosen total width of furniture at 600 mm, you need to work out the profile length as follows: 600mmOverall furniture width- 2 x 18.5mm (= 37mm) 1 connecting node at each end of the profile= 463 mmCutting dimensions profile

  • Is there anything to help me fit Cadro?

    Yes, there's a special drilling jig to help you set and drill the holes in the Cadro profiles.

  • Is it possible to connect other elements, such as a drawer, to the Cadro system? If there is, how and which one?

    Cadro can easily be combined with Hettich's AvanTech YOU drawer platform. The Cadro drawer profile was, in fact, developed for this type of connection: the Actro YOU drawer runner can be screw mounted to it with an AvanTech drawer fitted on top. If you want to fit a wooden drawer, you need to use the Actro YOU catch.

  • What drill do I need to use to make the hole on the profile to secure the node?

    To save time and get a perfect fit, we recommend using a pillar drill in conjunction with our Cadro assembly aid. Having said that though, a standard 4.5 mm metal drill bit can also be used.

  • Can the screw for connecting the profile and the connecting node be screwed in by hand?

    We recommend using a cordless screwdriver with a torque of 0.8 - 1 Nm. The grub screw can also be screwed in by hand with a 2.5 mm hexagon socket screwdriver. Yet because it's a self-tapping screw, this demands a certain amount of force.

  • How are the profiles connected?

    The Cadro system comes with a variety of connecting nodes. To connect the profiles, a hole is drilled at the specified distance of 20.5 mm from the end of the profile. The node is then inserted into the profile, with both parts being connected with an M5 grub screw to leave a flush finish.

  • What's the maximum Cadro profile length to avoid sagging?

    We recommend a maximum length of 1.20 metres.

  • How long are Cadro profiles?

    Cadro aluminium profiles come in lengths of 3.00 metres and can be shortened to any chosen size. Please bear in mind that a profile length of 1.20 metres should not be exceeded when making furniture.

  • What panel thickness is the Cadro system designed for?

    The Cadro system is designed for a panel thickness of 16 mm.

  • Which RAL colour shade does the black surface finish come close to?

    The black surface finish is similar to RAL 9004.

  • What colours is Cadro available in?

    Cadro is available in two finishes: matt black and brushed stainless steel.

  • What furniture solutions can Cadro be used for?

    Cadro can be used to create all sorts of furniture ideas: open/closed, fixed to the wall or floor standing, standalone or connected to existing furniture elements.
