EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) stands for the electronic exchange of business-related documents between you and Hettich—without any paper, emails, or manual data entry. Orders, delivery notes, invoices, and order confirmations are transmitted directly between IT systems in standardized formats. This is how we ensure that your processes run even faster, more efficiently, and more reliably.
EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport) is a globally recognized standard for the electronic exchange of business-related documents. Developed by the United Nations, EDIFACT ensures that companies can share data such as orders, delivery notes, and invoices in standardized formats—regardless of industry, software, or location.
For Hettich customers, this means: maximum compatibility, the highest level of process reliability, and seamless coordination throughout the entire supply chain.
How does EDI or EIDFACT work?
EDI or EDIFACT enable the automated and structured exchange of data between IT systems. This means that, for example, when you send an order from your system, it goes directly into our system without any manual steps in between. Similarly, Hettich automatically sends you all relevant documents.

Find a dealer near you that suits your needs. Carpenters and cabinet makers purchase Hettich products directly from specialty retailers or authorized dealers. Thanks to our extensive partner network, there are numerous sources where you can purchase Hettich products. This allows you to order furniture hardware quickly and reliably through local dealers or specialized distribution partners.
Order via email
In addition to EDI and the Hettich Online Shop, we offer you another easy way to place your order: by email. This option is particularly suitable if you regularly use standardized order lists or enter your orders outside of a system. All you need is a CSV file, which you can attach to your email to us. This allows us to process your order quickly and securely in our system.
This is how ordering by email works
- Enter the items you want in a CSV file. (If you're interested, we can provide you with a template, as we need a specific format to process your order.)
- Please send your order to our order mailbox.
- Your data will be imported directly into our system and processed as usual.
- You will receive an order confirmation as soon as your order has been successfully processed.
