Master cabinetmaker Marvin Rawert was repeatedly faced with customer complaints about uneven gaps between furniture panels, which affected the overall appearance—even on newly assembled pieces. This prompted him to take a closer look at Hettich’s Actro 5D pull-out runner and ultimately switch to this innovative fitting.

At just 22, master cabinetmaker Marvin Rawert founded his own cabinetmaking business. Located in a converted barn, the workshop features a state-of-the-art, meticulously organised production hall where his nine-member team at Holzmanufaktur Rawert creates high-quality furniture. His philosophy proved successful from the outset: exceptional craftsmanship and the finest materials form the foundation of lasting customer satisfaction. That is why customer complaints are particularly important to the master cabinetmaker—especially when they are not related to the quality of the craftsmanship, but to fittings that fail to meet the same high standards.

Hardware in use
Marvin Rawert set out to find a superior runner system for his wooden drawers and found exactly what he was looking for in Actro 5D—an innovative solution that enables him to realise even the most ambitious furniture projects. Since switching to the Actro 5D runner, the team at Holzmanufaktur Rawert has not only eliminated complaints about uneven joint alignment, but also significantly reduced the time required for adjustments and rework.
For cabinetmakers and joinery workshops, drawer runners must combine easy installation and adjustment with the flexibility to support a wide range of applications through additional components and functions. The Hettich Actro 5D drawer runner for wooden drawers meets these requirements exceptionally well and is the ideal choice, especially for high-end furniture manufacturing.

Installation tip from master carpenter Marvin Rawert:
“If all the holes have been drilled into the cabinet body and the drawer as part of the manufacturing process, the Actro 5D can be fitted and installed in less than 5 minutes. Even the alignment can be carried out in no time at all. However, drilling the holes in the drawer is also very easy without CNC technology. All it takes is a few drill holes and screw fittings. Once you’ve got the hang of it, this can also be done in a few minutes.”
