Hettich volunteering supports 154 social projects

Global engagement of colleagues supported with €77,000 in funding

As part of the 'Hettich Ehrenamt 2024' campaign, colleagues at various locations around the world participated in and supported a total of 154 projects, each receiving €500. This initiative has enabled social projects in Germany, the UK, the Czech Republic, and other countries to benefit from more than €77,000 in funding. We extend a special thank you to all colleagues for their tremendous commitment.

Every year, all Hettich employees are invited to submit their volunteering projects for funding. Projects in the areas of society, education, science, nutrition, exercise, culture and the environment receive financial support of €500 each. 'Social engagement is not only an integral part of our corporate culture, but also a matter close to our hearts. The positive response to our 'Hettich Ehrenamt' campaign shows us that together we can achieve great things,' says Eva Langner, Corporate Communications at Hettich.

The Hettich Group reaffirms its commitment to voluntary work and emphasises that supporting social projects remains crucial even in difficult economic times.
This commitment is reflected in the support given to a wide range of projects, including the promotion of children's and youth initiatives such as the youth fire brigade and junior sports teams, help for the sick through emergency pastoral care and the Red Cross, and consistent support for local historical societies and rescue services such as the DLRG (German Lifesaving Association), THW (German Technical Relief Organisation) and the voluntary fire brigade. We are proud of our colleagues’ extraordinary dedication to social projects. Their tireless efforts and the time they invest demonstrate the importance of acting in solidarity. ‘We are grateful to be able to support them in this way,' adds Langner.

Since the "Hettich Ehrenamt" volunteering campaign was launched to mark the company's 125th anniversary in 2013, over 1,500 projects have received funding of no less than €850,000
