Both future_bizz members Bayer Material Science and Hettich have worked on a futuristic system solution for the material and recycling flow for the year 2020 along with the companies DHL, Miele, Zentek and Frackenpohl Poulheim. The study was first introduced at the international furnishing show imm 2012 in Cologne. The result is a new supply and waste disposal system, which doesn´t only signify a surplus value for end consumers but also offers ecological and economical advantages for the service providers.

New ways of life in the future will unavoidably lead to changed processes in domestic and urban environments. New techniques and technologies enable fully novel approaches to products and services. Against this background, the system analysis e.goal works on new processes in the direct living environment of the end consumer, related to the last mile. Hettich participates in such basic studies in order to identify possible effects on its own business fields and integrate the same into the approaches to innovation.
