Daniel Quentmeyer and Alexander Pachomenko win the National Competition of Jugend forscht 2010
On 24th of March 2010, both these apprentices (specialisation: mechatronics engineer) won the national competition of Jugend forscht.
They had developed a method to improve the efficiency during quality control of powder-coated products: flying sparks can help determine, whether a product is defective. Electrified plates slide over a coated product. Sparks result if the coating has developed spots / pits. This helps in identifying defects very easily.
With this idea, they made it to the Federal Competition, which will take place in Essen from 13th – 16th May 2010. Hearty congratulation and good luck at the event!
