How will I find an ideal career, which has a future and will showcase my strengths?

My name is Maike Lüddecke and I wish to present to you an innovative and exciting training course at Hettich which is designed to remove fears of the future among school students. A study course called ‘Dual’ has been organized, as the students gain not only theoretical training, but also become capable of working in their desired career.
Since the end of last year Hettich has been offering this dual bachelor training program in cooperation with the technical colleges of Business (FHDW) Bielefeld and Paderborn. Studies at FHDW are mainly Business administration, International Business and Business informatics.
My motivation to start a dual training after completing my business diploma was the apparent advantages of this system. In face of the stiff competition in the employment arena, it makes sense to develop contacts with companies as early as possible, because good grades in studies are no longer the sole key to success today. Key factors are social exposure, practical experience and well developed soft skills. Such abilities cannot be imparted properly in overfilled lecture halls.
From October 2007 I started my dual study course of ‘International Business’ at Hettich Management Service GmbH. The course will be completed in three years.
From my experiences in the area of Business Opportunities, I can already say that my dual study path at Hettich is the right step for my future career opportunities. I am challenged and assisted simultaneously. I was able to translate theoretical contents of my knowledge into practical applications here. And I have the possibility to improve my versatility, through presentations and intensive teamwork in projects.
I look forward to the next phase of in the job training in this year – from July to September.
