As quoted by our project leader Norbert Günther, nearly 950 employees were involved directly in the initiative „Hettich Office Excellence“. They were under the aegis of Dr. Andreas  Hettich, the chairman and Managing director of the Hettich group. „ It is worthwhile to scrutinize the administration according Productivity reserves, in order to optimize the processes and increase t effectiveness”, commented Dr.Hettich about this success.

Hettich is organized optimally and here is the proof: The Office Excellence convention took place once again in Kassel in February 2008. This is the fifth time that the management consultancy Macils Management-Centrum Stuttgart, has awarded the company which has demonstrated an above average increase in office efficiency in 2007. This award is within the scope of a nation wide benchmark project. After winning the second place twice in the years 2005 and 2006, the Hettich Group won the first position ahead of mhplus Health Insurance Fund, Ludwigsburg, and the manufacturer of precision products for pressure and temperature techniques of WIKA Alexander Wiegand GmbH, Klingenberg. The special award for the most
successful international presence went to the automobile supplier Mann+ Hummel, Ludwigsburg. As the methods and tools were internationally synchronized, the subsidiaries in Spain and Russia were also a part of this endeavor. The offices at Kirchlengern, Bünde, Exter, Spenge, Rietberg und Balingen were also actively involved. Overall 13 Hettich offices had participated
in this project: ten in Germany and two in Spain and one in Russia. In 2007 18 Process analyses were accomplished from which we could generate a variety of measures for improvement. Meanwhile we had offered some of the offices workshops for increasing their efficiency, for e.g. 21 Email- efficiency Workshops with a total of 130 participants and three Process moderators trainings. We will expand our scope of activities in 2008. The acceptance was achieved fully amongst the committee.

The benchmarking and transfer project „Office Excellence - increased productivity in office“, is an extraordinary project in which 25 organizations had taken part. The pre requisites were that
the office efficiency was to be increased in six modules work levels. By this, the processes and operations would be restructured and optimized in order to reduce the processing time and administrative costs.
