A construction project in Spenge is part of the reorientation of our Residential Division. The new building will house Development, Production Management, Administration, and the sales/marketing activities focussed on manufacturers of residential furniture, which were previously located in Kirchlengern. On June 15, 2007, Dr. Andreas Hettich, together with Christian Manz, mayor of Spenge, took part in the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony, ably supported by Jürgen Werner, division leader Technology, Günther Heise, division leader Marketing/Sales and Friedrich-Wilhelm Pelshenke, General Manager of Hettich Heinze GmbH & Co. KG, Spenge.
The new administrative building will be immediately adjacent to and linked up with the facilities at Hettich Heinze. By the end of 2007, some 90 people will be working here. The two-storey building will provide roughly 1,000 m2 of extra floor space. The existing administrative building next-door to the production halls will be converted into conference rooms, reception areas, a canteen and the new Lightweight Lab. The Residential Division is responsible for worldwide sales of fittings for residential furniture, most of which are produced in Spenge.
“The aim of the restructuring”, says Dr. Hettich “is to bring development, production, distribution and sales closer together, so as to boost our capacity to supply what the market wants. We know that exceeding our customers’ expectations by delivering a seamless combination of products, consultancy and service, requires in-house functions to be spatially and organisationally networked.”
