Office Excellence Award 2006: 2nd place for Hettich

For the second time the management consultancy Macils Management-Centrum GmbH, Stuttgart, has honoured companies that were able to increase their organisation and methods within a nationwide Benchmark Project in 2006. The award ceremony took place in Kassel on January 30, 2007. As last year, the first and second places went to the automotive components supplier Mann + Hummel, Ludwigsburg, and the Hettich Group. For the first time, the health insurance company mhplus, Ludwigsburg, achieved the third place.
The assessments show which influence this project has on the participating companies. The number of points that won a company the third place in 2006, would have easily been enough for the first place in 2005. Accordingly, the rating for Hettich was better than in the previous year. Project leader Norbert Günther says that already 650 colleagues participate in the project “Hettich Office Excellence” under the aegis of Dr. Andreas Hettich.
The Benchmarking & Transfer Project “Office Excellence – More Productivity in the Office” is an extraordinary cooperative project in which involves more than 25 well-known companies. The aim is the increase of office efficiency in six modular steps. Office processes and procedures are being reorganised and optimised in order to shorten the processing time immensely and to reduce time and effort expended on administrative activities.
