Poznan - the historical capital of Greater Poland Province

Art & Culture

Poznan is one of Poland`s cities known for its sights, and that not only because of their quantity, but also because of their value. Many of the city`s sights are located in the city centre. The three locations of the most precious architectural monuments are the Cathedral Island (Ostrow Tumski), the historical old town (Stare Miasto) and the city centre. Poznan is one of the few towns in Poland where you can visit architectural monuments from all stylistic periods; from Romanic buildings to eclecticism to modernism.

Leisure & Fun

Poznan offers many opportunities for relaxation. You can choose between two zoos, the botanical garden and numerous parks and nature reserves. Lake Malta meets everybody`s needs: you can bathe during summer time and enjoy yourself in the artificial ski piste and bob run which are open the whole year. The beautiful landscape around the lake invites you for long walks, cycling and inline-skating.
