How to become a supplier of the Hettich Group

The Hettich Group seeks long-term, partnership-style relations with suppliers and support them in enhancing their efficiency. We trust our partners and the assurances they give us.
We select our suppliers on the basis of clear rules, while avoiding mutual dependencies. We apply familiar methods for assessing quality and evaluating suppliers.
Our aim is to enter strategic partnerships with a meaningful number of suppliers and concentrate the products we purchase on them. At the same time, we must follow a strategy of intensive, worldwide procurement marketing in order not to lose sight of the opportunities the market pre-sents.
The Hettich Group aims to combine its business activities with social responsibility, and therefore undertakes, in its sphere of influence, to observe minimum standards in respect of working condi-tions, social welfare and environmental protection.
Converting environmental awareness into responsible action to protect the environment – this is a challenge that confronts every company in business today.
The sparing use of resources, recyclable products, environmentally friendly production methods and effective environmental management are characteristic of companies that take this responsibil-ity seriously in everyday practice. Regular audits show that our production sites are in compliance with the rigorous standards of the EU’s eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS). We use packaging material with a high recycling value. We give thought to disposal as early as when we select our packaging material.
We do use manufacturing supplies that do not present a hazard to our members of staff or exert strain on the environment, and we avoid any shipment that is unnecessary. Following the recent significant tightening of requirements on hazardous product ingredients, in particular through European Community directives as well as our customers’ internal lists of banned substances and substances they want us to avoid, it is imperative to observe Hettich Stan-dard HS 240 and communicate it to all suppliers. In this context, all buyers will undertake to develop their personal social conscience and be guided by it as early as the time at which they shortlist suppliers. We choose our suppliers because they think like we do. And they will be prepared to undertake the same commitment and be pleased to countersign the formal obligations to this effect.
